The Chapels were starting to sing every weekend and with that came the second personnel change in the all male group. Reverend Robert Leather felt the Lord leading him to stay with the music ministry at First Baptist of Canton and so we began a search for a new second tenor.

The Lord answered that prayer when Brother James Talbott Jr. came to the group. James Talbott, Jr. was a multi-talented singer, songwriter, arranger and great keyboard player. Not to mention his father, James Talbott Senior played piano for the Tony Brothers for a number of years. Now all three members of the group were second generation gospel singers. God had truly
blessed the Chapels ministry.

About four months later we had the great honor of being invited to Alexandria, Indiana to appear on a series of Bill Gaither’s Homecoming Videos. What a great blessing that was! Anything and everything nice I can say would sum up that experience. We went to church for three straight days!

There will be a moment in time when every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!
