The Chapels are made up of Ron Newsome of Allen Park, lead singer and manager, Michael Rushlow, tenor and Jim Talbott, baritone, of Belleville.

The Chapels ministry was formed out of First Baptist Church of Canton in 1996, and since then the group has appeared in concert at Cedarville University in Ohio, and has performed in concert with such groups as Hovie Lister & The Statesmen Quartet, Greater Vision, James Blackwood, Jeff & Sherri Easter and many others, as well as singing the National Anthem at Detroit Tigers baseball games,.

The Chapels also have appeared on three Gaither Homecoming Videos/DVD’s, recorded live at the Bill Gaither studios in Indiana. Through the years of The Chapels, they have recorded 8 other CD projects along with one live concert DVD, which was filmed in concert in 2005.

The Chapels are a God-directed collection of three young men pursuing worship and song, all the while ministering to others through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Chapels also compose many original songs, while they also enjoy singing some of the old favorites as well. Their new CD entitled “The Chapels Revisited, features songs written by both Ron Newsome & Jim Talbott, along with some old favorites such as Do Right & Come Smiling Through, Look To Him, Trade The Ole Cross and Jesus Loves Me.
